Profile Overview

The Programme Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of SeSTA and supporting different field teams 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project proposals, project planning & execution, including resource administration& members’ allocation for project completion
  • Lead, coordinate and ensure smooth and effective functioning of all the projects and programs of SeSTA fulfilling aims and objectives
  • Undertaking new projects / initiatives for livelihood sector opportunitieswhich align with the vision and mission of SeSTA
  • Understand project requirements, project scope and deliverables
  • Support Integrators and teams on project delivery, donors’ meetings and leading on some projects/ project modules independently
  • Project management and coordination with internal and external stakeholders etc
  • Manage large multi-state programme on sustainable agriculture involving natural farming practices, solar technologies, horticulture, plantations and livestock development.
  • Project planning, implementation management, quality assurance, monitoring, reporting and government liaison will be integral part of job responsibility.
  • Support field teams and enhancing their capacity on sustainable agriculture. Natural farming, Conservation agriculture, non-pesticide management, solar irrigation, livestock promotion, NRM based works, horticulture and plantation, non farm sector works
  •  Monitoring and Knowledge management 
  • Preparing and submitting high quality project progress reports. 
  • Partnership development with government, donors, technical institutions, and other NGOs working in sustainable agriculture and related sectors.
  • Policy related work on sustainable livelihood promotion- Close and continuous relationship is expected with state and national level related government departments/agencies. 
  •  Integrating technology in livelihoods promotion to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support in Collectives promotion and strengthening specifically FPCs
  • Substantial amount of time is expected to be spent in the field to develop these programmes.- Regular field visits have to be undertaken (at least 50% of the engagement will be field based)
  • Monitor ongoing projects and support program staff in analyzing program results, providing guidance in the preparation of project reports, and supervision of Integrators
  • Facilitate the successful transition between program design and program execution, including interim and/or mobilization support for the start-up of new programs
  • Support to other functions
  • Support in Resource Mobilisation and building partnerships

Profile Overview:

The Integrator will supervise 3-4 adjacent teams of SeSTA and lead the operations there

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that various interventions of SeSTA are implemented as per plans 
  • Coaching, mentoring, supervising and building the capacity of the team
  • On-field support to the team members in different interventions- this will require regular field visits
  • Long term-short term planning to achieve objectives and milestones on monthly basis
  • Set up a review and reporting mechanism at various levels in the team and carry out regular follow up to ensure that action plan is implemented to reach the milestones
  • Lead the team to achieve project activities in time bound manner with quality
  • Planning and coordination with HRM function for regular training and exposures
  • Looking after the deployment of mobile ICT based platform for Data collection from the field and monitoring as well as online MIS
  • Prepare and submit Monthly progress and Financial report as per Management Information System (MIS) guidelines
  • Looking at the administration and finance related aspects of the teams
  • Data quality check and monitoring and supervision of field activities
  • Long term-short term planning to achieve objectives and milestones on quarterly basis
  • Making collaborations with various organizations and experts
  • Substantial amount of time is expected to be spent in the field to Support teams.- Regular field visits have to be undertaken (70% of the engagement will be field based)
  • Working with various government functionaries to carry out formalities on behalf of the organization as well as to bring convergence of schemes in the field

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the  execution of the overall communications strategy of the organization
  • Responsible for content conceptualisation, creation, collation, coordination, dissemination of varied kinds of reports, case studies, promotional material, print collaterals, newsletters, video creation and photo creation.
  • Oversee periodic donor reporting related deliverables, collate and create content for the same (both donor partners and individual donors)
  • Conceptualise, create content and circulate the monthly newsletter internally as well as externally.
  • Responsible for maintaining external stakeholder database for the purpose of outreach
  • Regularly source and collate content for the purpose of social media campaigning, marketing and fundraising
  • Support the social media expert in creating collaterals for various campaigns and organising fundraisers
  • Organise seminars/webinars and events to improve organisation’s outreach. Ensure representation of SeSTA in relevant events to improve its visibility in the sector.
  • Ensuring case studies and articles get published in relevant external publications. Seek relevant long term partnerships for the purpose such that the profile of the organisation is built over time.
  • Responsible for bringing out the quarterly magazine ETOHOP’ and work towards its continuous upgradation and innovation.
  • Support field teams and provide need based documentation related handholding support by visiting field locations as per requirement.
  • Strengthen relationships individual donors, beneficiaries as well as press and media.
  • Constantly upgrade the video and photograph repository for the purpose of internal and external use
  • Establish and maintain an up-to-date documentation for publications, photographic, audio-visual, graphic and other digital communication materials as a part of knowledge management
  • Support M&E as and when required and document project and organisation specific learning annually
  • Maintaining official website which will consist of updating content pictures, Videos from time to time.
  • Maintaining organization repository by coordinating with Team members.
  • Oversee appropriate implementation of branding standards and guidelines throughout the organisation and programs (including donor specific guidelines)
  • Should be ready for any need based tasks of the organisation if required.
