Scholarship Purpose & Objective
The scholarship aims to help girl students from economically weaker Adivasi and Tea Tribe households in Balipara/Rangapara (Sonitpur) and Sakhomata/Baghmara (Biswanath) pursue and complete higher education. It seeks to promote equal educational access, reduce poverty through better livelihood opportunities, empower women as future leaders, enhance community representation in professional and government sectors, and discourage unsafe migration through education and skill development.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Female student from Adivasi or Tea Tribes community.
  • Annual family income below ₹2,00,000.
  • Minimum 50% marks in the last examination.
  • Shortlisted or admitted to an eligible course.
  • Selection based on merit and income.

Scholarship Details

  • 20 students supported annually.
  • One-time assistance: ₹10,000–₹25,000 (based on course).
    • UPSC/APSC, MBBS, Engineering – ₹25,000
    • PG, Nursing, Hospitality, Polytechnic – ₹20,000
    • ITI – ₹10,000
