Scholarship Purpose & Objective
The Adivasi Scholarship Support Program (FY 2026–27) helps girl students from economically weaker Tea Tribe and Adivasi households in Sonitpur, Biswanath and Lakhimpur districts pursue and complete higher education — in medicine, engineering, nursing, polytechnic and post-graduate courses. It seeks to promote equal educational access, reduce poverty through better livelihood opportunities, empower women as future leaders, enhance community representation in professional and government sectors, and discourage unsafe migration through education and skill development.

Eligibility Criteria

• Female candidate from the Tea Tribe or Adivasi community.
• Annual family income up to ₹2,00,000.
• Minimum 50% marks in the last completed examination.
• Shortlisted or admitted to one of the supported courses.
• In 1st year (Post Graduate, Nursing ANM) or 1st/2nd year (MBBS, Engineering, B.Sc. Nursing, Nursing GNM, Polytechnic).
• Selection based on merit and income.

Scholarship Details

• 15–20 students supported annually.
• One-time assistance, based on course:
  • MBBS — ₹25,000
  • Engineering — ₹25,000
  • Post Graduate (Regular) — ₹25,000
  • B.Sc. Nursing — ₹25,000
  • Nursing (GNM) — ₹20,000
  • Polytechnic — ₹20,000
  • Nursing (ANM) — ₹15,000

Marksheet, admission receipt, ID proof, bank passbook, and income certificate.
