Awareness and Education
SeSTA focuses on raising awareness in 14 Tea Estates of Assam, about gender-based violence (GBV) and the available redressal mechanisms. This is achieved through various awareness programs conducted in plucking areas and factories.
Community Involvement
Formed community-based groups such as Mothers Clubs and Adolescents Clubs to foster collective responsibility and engagement.
Collaboration
Worked with organizations like the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangh (ACMS) to leverage their Influence within the community and ensure broader outreach.
Training and Capacity Building
Provided advanced training to Internal Committee (IC) members and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding of GBV and related laws and policies.
Sports and Cultural Events
Organized events like the "Run for Equality" and football matches to promote gender equality and create awareness.
